RED RIVER ARKANSAS ARCHEOLOGICAL SOCIETY CHAPTER
Our annual winter potluck is on Wednesday December 10th at 5pm in the Magnolia Room of the Reynolds Center at SAU. Come join us! Bring a dish if you want, but mostly come and celebrate the season with the Red River Chapter.
Our speaker for the night will be Dr. Paige Ford, station archeologist at Plum Bayou Mounds, just outside of Little Rock. She has been leading new research on this Late Woodland (ca. 800-1,000 AD) mound center, one of the earliest of its kind on the continent. She will tell us about what she has done and what she plans to do through next summer’s Arkansas Archeological Society Training Program. Come join us!
